The other two groups were similarly cut short. In Chonburi, officers stopped two Chinese nationals who had crossed illegally via Chanthaburi heading toward Bangkok. Their local handlers had used a two-vehicle setup—one lead scout car and one passenger transport—though the lead driver managed to flee. Farther south in Pattani, five Chinese nationals were caught alongside their Thai driver after slipping in from Cambodia, spending a night in Bangkok, and motoring south with plans to work in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
All 10 Chinese nationals have been charged with illegal entry, while the three arrested Thai facilitators face charges for harboring and aiding undocumented migrants. All suspects have been handed over to local police for further legal proceedings.
