On September 27–28, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi convened a high-level meeting at the NCCIA Central Zone headquarters in Lahore, directing law enforcement across the country to intensify crackdowns on financial fraud, fake accounts, digital extortion, harassment, and organized cyber syndicates. He explicitly called for an "indiscriminate strike" against all organized fraud operations.
Authorities have also been instructed to review backlogged cases one by one, speed up digital forensics, and track illicit fund flows. With the NCCIA leadership reporting on ongoing investigations and current scam trends, enforcement against illegal call centers and cross-border syndicates is poised to escalate further.
