Yesterday, in Svay Rieng Province, Deputy Governor Mong Eng led a major anti-fraud operation in a neighborhood in Bavet City. This area, with 32 row houses, was managed by a Chinese national. During the operation, authorities inspected four residences and five suspected fraud sites.
They found 35 foreign nationals, including 33 Chinese, 9 Vietnamese, and 1 Burmese. Some didn't even have passports. The authorities seized a large number of computers, phones, Wi-Fi routers, and vehicles—tools used for their scams.
Now, these individuals and the evidence have been handed over to the Svay Rieng Provincial Police's cybercrime unit. The implicated row houses have been temporarily sealed. Locals say this action has brought a sense of relief to the community.
