Those flashy "international matchmaking" offers you hear about on the street? Almost all of them are fronts for fraud, illegal matchmaking rings, or even human trafficking networks. Do not touch them with a ten-foot pole.
Myanmar keeps a very tight leash on marriages between foreigners and its own citizens, and there are absolutely no shortcuts. A lot of guys think paying huge agency fees will let them fast-track a wedding, but they're really just walking straight into a legal minefield.
