I married a Vietnamese woman, and at first, everything seemed great. But as time went on, I started having second thoughts. I wanted to share my experience with you all.
Don't rush into a relationship just after meeting someone. Take time to understand her personality, habits, and social circle. Check if she has tattoos, drinks, smokes, gambles, or has any debts. Look at what she posts on social media and how many male friends she has. Don’t just rely on what she tells you.
My wife seemed fine initially, but later I found out she wasn't much of a cook, relied on the washing machine for laundry, and her family did the dishes. She had many male friends and often chatted with them on video calls until 2 AM, which led to arguments between us.
Don't be overly generous at the start. I bought her an iPhone worth over $1,000 and a gold chain for $1,200. Three months after coming to China, she said there was an emergency in Vietnam but didn't specify. I eventually let her go back.
After she returned, I realized her family couldn't control her either. She started working at 14, knew many men, and was quite outgoing. Whenever she asked for money, I had to decide carefully and not just give in out of fear of losing her.
Of course, there are good women in Vietnam too. The key is to really understand the person. Don't rush the relationship; get to know her friends, habits, and true situation before marriage, or you might face surprises later.
