Military police in Koh Kong province made a major bust in the coastal resort development of Dara Sakor on the night of the 17th, catching two undocumented foreigners red-handed with drugs and illegal firearms.
Officers from the Kirisakor District Gendarmerie raided a location in the area following an investigation. According to local military police, the raid yielded a complete setup for trouble: illegal narcotics, evidence of drug use and trafficking, and an unlicensed firearm.
Neither suspect could produce a valid passport when detained. The male suspect was identified as 28-year-old Zhou Yuxing, an unemployed Chinese national. His companion, 36-year-old Nguyen Thuy Linh, is a Vietnamese masseuse. Both suspects and the seized contraband are being held at the district military police headquarters while authorities prepare the case for court.
Dara Sakor may look quiet and breezy on the surface, but secluded rental properties and isolated pockets in the area often hide a darker reality. Locals know that undocumented foreigners frequently lay low in these spots, staying behind closed doors during the day and coming out at night—until the military police decide to drop in.
