Recently, there’s been some trouble in Sihanoukville. Word’s out that a gang involved in kidnapping, robbery, and illegal detention is hiding out near the Great Wall Casino at a place called "May Hotel." The hotel owner seems to be in cahoots with them, sheltering people without passports. The gang's leader, known as "Chong Wa," is from Sichuan and uses the alias "Chen Mingjie." His second-in-command, "Yu Hu," also from Sichuan, goes by "Bang Lao Er" and uses the alias "Two Tigers." They’ve got a couple of cars they use to scout and target people.

These guys have a routine: they stake out spots, pick their targets, and then move in as a group. They’re moving around Sihanoukville, and who knows, they might be lurking near someone’s rental. Their names and Telegram accounts have been leaked, so if you’re in touch with them, it’s best to steer clear before you get caught up in their mess. The whistleblower warned that if they keep targeting fellow countrymen, their photos and details will be exposed next.

Locals know that some areas here can be tricky when it comes to safety. During the day, it’s all food stalls and motorbikes, but once the streetlights dim, certain corners and shady hotels can get sketchy. If you’re working, doing business, or running errands here, make sure to lock up tight at night. Be cautious about who you go out drinking with. Staying safe is the top priority when you’re away from home.
