Word on the street is that Cambodia Airways is looking to launch two new direct routes, one heading to Haikou in China and the other to Vientiane in Laos, and they are planning to fly them using China's homegrown C909 aircraft.
Under the current preliminary schedule, the Vientiane run is slated for its maiden flight on December 15, 2026, operating three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The Haikou route is pencilled in for the next day, December 16, running on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, also three times a week.
That said, these are still just early-stage plans. Anyone hoping to book these flights will have to hold off for a bit and wait for an official announcement from the airline.
Lately, route changes and new flights seem to be the talk of the town everywhere you go. Whether people are dreaming of a quick trip to Haikou for a bowl of noodles or heading up to Vientiane for a coffee, the big questions on everyone's minds are always ticket prices and punctuality.
