Word got around the streets of Tuy Hoa on September 15th that a gold shop over in Song Cau had just been hit. The story going around was that four foreigners pulled it off. But before they could even settle into their getaway car with the loot, the police swarmed in and collared the whole lot right inside the vehicle. Not a single one got away.
To be honest, though, right now it is all just talk on the street and bits and pieces floating around online. Which countries those four suspects are actually from, whether the shop was totally cleaned out, and how they pulled off the heist are details the local police are still keeping under wraps, with no official statement out yet.
Over the last couple of days down at the local tea stalls, everyone has been chewing over what happened. This area is usually pretty quiet, so when a gold shop gets hit by a bunch of foreigners out of nowhere, people naturally start looking over their shoulders.
