Last week, the Wa State Justice Committee registered 30 Chinese nationals to return home, bringing the total to 1,345 people signed up so far. Since 2020, nearly 90,000 people have been encouraged to go back—quite a significant number.
It's pretty easy to sign up. You can register at the Yunlong No. 1 Hotel in the Bangkang Special Zone or the Fubang Grand Hotel in Fubang County. Registration is open every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9 AM to noon, so it doesn’t take much time.
The departure schedule is also quite organized. Buses leave every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and the next day, they hand over the travelers to Chinese police at the Meng'a or Mangka border. As for costs, the transfer and urine test fees at Yunlong No. 1 Hotel total 130 yuan, with accommodation at 180 yuan per night. The Fubang Grand Hotel is a bit cheaper, with lodging at 150 yuan, while other fees are similar. We hope everyone can return home legally, and remember to sort out your paperwork before re-entering.
