In Ho Chi Minh City, officers raided an apartment and found a stash of computers and electronic devices, leading to the arrest of six South Koreans. These individuals were not only suspected of high-tech crimes but were also staying in the country illegally, without proper registration.
The police didn’t hold back with these six Koreans; they were fined and promptly deported. It seems their time here wasn’t too pleasant, especially since they broke the law and had to face the consequences. Local media reports indicate that this kind of situation is becoming more common in big cities, with law enforcement tightening up.
Over in Da Nang, the police also caught four Chinese men who were in the country on tourist e-visas but were working as online game customer service agents for a Thai company. They were fined 22.5 million VND, which is about 868 USD, and were also sent back home. People on the streets are talking about how life for foreigners in Vietnam is getting tougher, with higher penalties for breaking the law, so everyone needs to be more careful.
