But the moment some guys who rented a row of three villas inside the Long Vien Golf Club ran into trouble, Old Yang vanished into thin air. Not only did they refuse to return the deposit, but they didn’t even bother to show a shred of accountability—and the big boss behind the scenes is still hiding out, refusing to show his face.
Word on the street is that these guys have already prepped Hyundai cars and the Armani Hotel’s VIP shuttle vans, while keeping comms and transport on standby to clear out at a moment's notice. They still have other properties running as usual, and locals say there are plenty of shady, off-the-books operations still running inside those places. Anyone in the same line of work renting space from them better keep their eyes wide open.
Finding an office out here is tough enough as it is, so running into people who flip the script the second they cash your check is a massive headache. The property photos, license plates, and even pictures of Old Yang’s local girlfriend are already plastered all over the internet. If the parties involved still don't step up and give an explanation, even sharper, high-res mugshots and full-face photos are going to drop next. Right now, everyone's just hoping the authorities here in Laos and back home step in to investigate and get some justice for the victims.
